By doing so this will eliminate the chance of cracking but yes all concrete cracks thatís why we put in expansion joints and saw cuts to create weak spots so it will crack down in the cut and not along the surface.

WILL IT BE CHEAPER IF I FORMED THE JOB UP MY SELF?

Yes it will work out cheaper as you will eliminate the need for labour to get it ready, But keep in mind if we come to do the job and find that the formwork is not to a standard to pour the concrete you will incur additional charges in order to fix the formwork prior to the pour.

WHAT IS COLOURED CONCRETE?

Coloured concrete is when the colour is added to the concrete at the batch plant and the concrete arrives to the job as your desired colour. The typical finishes on this type are broomed or cove finish.

WHAT IS STENCIL CONCRETE?

Stencil concrete is when we pour the concrete in its natural state then we lay a stencil over the concrete and roll in in to the surface. Then we hand throw the colour and trowel three coats in to the concrete and when it is dried to a certain stage we remove the stencil from the concrete to reveal the desired pattern you have chosen.

WHAT IS EXPOSED CONCRETE

Exposed concrete is when you decide on a coloured stone to be mixed in the concrete. We then place the concrete and trowel it several times to get the surface ultra-smooth we then spray a sugar solution to the surface to slow the drying process of the surface. Then when it has reached a certain point in drying we then pressure wash the surface off to expose the stone you have chosen.

WHAT IS PLAIN CONCRETE?

Plain concrete is concrete in its natural form (grey). With no colour added it can still be finished in a number of ways and is the cheapest form of concreting but still looks amazing when finished correctly.

WHY DO YOU SEAL COLOURED CONCRETE?

When coloured concrete is poured it looks amazing on the day as the colour looks vibrant and fresh. But over a few days as the concrete cures it will fade and look blotchy as the concrete will dry faster in some sections than others. The reason for sealing is after the concrete is cured we apply a thick coat of sealer to bring back the colour to its full potential and make it all look uniform similar to varnishing a piece of timber. Also the sealer provides a UV protection barrier to ensure your new concrete will look new for years to come. It is also recommended to reseal your coloured concrete every 12 months to keep it looking new.

DO YOU REVOME EXISTING CONCRETE PRIOR TO REPLACING WITH NEW CONCRETE?

Yes we do, we have machinery that can remove you old concrete but this will incur additional charges.

DO YOU REPAIR OLD CONCRETE?

We do provide a service that repairs old concrete but it all depend on how badly damaged it is and whether it is worth repairing or replacing.

CAN YOU INSTALL DRAINAGE PRIOR TO POURING CONCRETE?

Yes we can, under a general concreters licence we are allowed to install general water drainage to assist you with your water problems and have done on a regular basis.
